Benchmarked, not vibes

Our formula OCR pipeline is tested closed-loop: render ground-truth LaTeX, OCR it back, compare. Result: 10/10 semantic accuracy on printed formulas — because the engine (with our preprocessing layer for scaling and background normalization) operates on exactly the kind of images you'll feed it: screenshots of typeset math from papers, PDFs and Overleaf. Where accuracy degrades — handwriting, exotic fonts — the tool pages say so plainly. Client-side tools (tables, BibTeX) never upload your data at all.

Frequently asked questions

What tools does LatexWiz include?
Five: a visual LaTeX table generator (booktabs output), formula-screenshot-to-LaTeX OCR with rendered verification, a DOI-to-BibTeX generator on live CrossRef data, and LaTeX↔Word converters powered by pandoc.
How accurate is the formula OCR?
10/10 semantic accuracy on printed formulas in our closed-loop benchmark (true LaTeX renders → OCR → compare). Printed math from papers and PDFs is the engine's home domain; handwriting degrades — we say so on the tool page.
Is LatexWiz free?
The table generator and BibTeX generator run entirely in your browser — free and unlimited. Upload tools (formula OCR, LaTeX↔Word) are free for 10 jobs a day up to 8 MB; larger files use credits ($9 for 50).
What happens to my files?
Uploads are used only to run your conversion and stored briefly so you can download results. Client-side tools (table generator, BibTeX) never upload anything at all. We don't share files or train on them.
